Meet Millie
Henry is approximately 8 years old and 25 lbs. Millie is 6 years old and 18 lbs. It’s clear someone took care of us and did some training. We are typical herding dogs, and need to make sure we are in charge of what’s happening.
We love having a crate to den in and puppy beds. Millie loves her toys. She will flip them in the air and retrieve like a labrador! She also loves to guard her toys and makes lots of noise if other puppies come by them. It’s all noise. She also LOVES to cuddle on your lap belly up in the air for rubs. Henry is also a lab buddy. He can jump very high and may land in your lap at any time so be ready! Henry is a couch potato. A flat pillow on the couch is the perfect perch for him.
We are quite smart and understand several commands. We are very treat motivated. We are fully potty trained – you can say go potty and we will run outside and potty immediately. We come when called. Millie is quite the character, she loves to pull toys under the table when she thinks no one is looking. And if you say Millie Bell in a high pitched voice, she will wiggle her whole butt and look at you like you are the most loved human in the world. We both really enjoy when you sit on the floor with us.
We are pretty perfect, but we do have a couple things that need work. We bark if we hear a lot of activity happening in the yard but interestingly don’t bark at the doorbell and don’t bark if we go by houses with barking dogs. We walk well on a leash, but we are reactive barkers when we see people or dogs. If you turn us in the other direction and redirect our attention, we calm down quickly. It will take some consistent training to get us past this. Apartment living or tight living quarters with a lot of activity will not be a good fit for us. Henry can be a little fussy with some men. He does best if you let him come to you first as he is getting to know you. He has done very well with his foster dad and foster grandpa. It just takes him a little while to settle in and then he will begin to come by with finger licks. Small children are likely not a good fit due to the tendency for quick movements that could cause anxiety.
If you are looking for lots of cuddles and can provide a loving environment, we can complete your family and bring you so much joy. Adoption fee: $400 for both. For more information, please email: Avrisundell@gmail.com
