I am a senior citizen (12+) but I stay very busy. I currently live in an assisted living center with 11 other dogs. That's a lot of friends to keep up with! I make the rounds several times a day to visit them. I climb into bed with each dog for a visit or a snooze. I am very social and love everyone. I wish I knew where my children are. I've been bred every time I came into heat, because no one took me to the vet to make that stop happening. So I have tons of progeny out there somewhere. My owner didn't care how I spent my days, so I wandered the neighborhood all the time. When my owner died, the people in the 'hood felt that I should be rescued, and that is how I came to be one of the little dogs at Little Big Dog Rescue. The nice rescue people had me fixed so that I won't have any more children, and they removed some big masses that I'd had for a long time. Unfortunately my bladder doesn't work 100%, so my foster mom always has a paper towel in her pocket. I also wear diapers sometimes. I am house-trained, but I have a leaky bladder. I am taking Proin for this. Well, I have to go now. As I said, I keep busy. When I'm not eating, I'm thinking about eating, or inspecting my friends' beds to see if there is a stray piece of kibble to hold me over until the next meal. If I belonged to you, you could rub my belly, my foster mom says it brings good luck!Adoption fees are $200 unless otherwise stated. Senior residents of Dot's Old Dogs Home are generally not available for adoption. 100% of adoption fees are put back into the rescue so that another lonely and neglected chained/penned dog or yard-sale dog can be rescued. We are grateful for your interest.
Upon approval, the adoption fee is non-refundable. The fee includes the following: de-worming; grooming (if applicable); heartworm, lymes, ehrlichia and anaplasmosis testing; all vaccinations including rabies; flea and tick treatment, microchipping and spay/neuter.
Please contact us if you have questions about our adoptable dogs, we would love to talk to you!
