Meet Miko

Meet Miko! Miko originally came to CCHS from Arkansas where he had been abandoned at a dog park. He was adopted but brought back for a few reasons. He is an energetic dog and needs an outlet for that. He is prone to some anxiety so the more exercise and stability he has, the better life will be for him. Because of his anxiety, he will need to be crated when alone as he will chew on things he's not supposed to. He is good with going potty outside and will scratch the door when he needs to go out. He can jump quite high and climb so he would need to be watched in a fenced in area. He loves to sleep under the covers with his family. He has a voice and that can be intimidating at first but it's just the way he vocalizes, slow movements until he knows what is going on is all that he needs. He is good with some kids but he needs time to be accepting. He may have some allergies, so grain and chicken free food is best. He bonded strongly with his family and will to yours too! Apply for him today!

Miko qualifies for our Who's Your Doggie foster to hopefully adopt program. Adopters can apply to adopt and if approved, take the dog home for a week to see if they will be a fit in the home. A $25 dollar fee will be charged. If the fostering is a success, the $25 will be taken off the full adoption fee.

Miko's adoption fee is $100.00. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Erlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption.
