Who is looking for a pup that needs a second chance at life. He is handsome, goofy at times.

Mikey came to us when his time was up at another shelter. Mikey has some barrier issues that we are working with. He needs a female owner that would help build his confidence and trust through some one on one training. He has been with us a few months with little to no interest and its a shame.

Other animals? We think Mikey would best in a home as a only pet.

Obedience would be a must in helping this guy grow and be a good dog citizen. He is a quick learner already knowing sit and down. Food motivated in training with hot dog treats.

With Mikey's size and robust energy we think his home would require kids being 16 and older. Or even just a adult home.

Mikey has a easier time adjusting to women that own him then men. As we know nothing of Mikey's past some clues suggest he might have had a heavy handed male owner one time.

Mikey enjoys his walks on a easy walk harness. He does need reminding at times on not pulling to his destination. That's where the obedience would come in handy for this guy.

Mikey eats his meals out of a Kong that is frozen while his dry food is in a wobbler for his enjoyment. He really seems to like puzzle eating.

Mikey doesn't know how to properly introduce himself to other dogs. He tends to be a bit amped on first meeting and cats are more of a target of prey drive then a common chase and be done with it.
