Mike Pit Bull Terrier Mix Warrenville, IL

Mike was brought in with two puppies who were presumed to be his after his owner passed away and the family could not care for them all. Well, it’s completely their loss, because 8-year-old Mike is truly a gem! You’d never know his age if his salt and pepper snout didn’t give him up!

Of course, even though he is a complete gentleman, being on the older side means he doesn’t always love having other dogs in his face. For instance, he might have a moment where he loses patience with his no-limits foster brother who is currently in his terrible twos and anxious to test boundaries, but Mike knows how to give the young whipper snapper a quick correction and all is well. Mike is generally a very social guy though and loves being part of any pack—be it human or animal!

Mike really shines when it comes to kids though. He loves them all! He loves their pets, belly rubs, and he doesn’t even mind them ringing the doorbell all the time because it probably just means more little ones to love on him!

Of course, everyone wants a puppy because they’re so cute and young, but Mike is just as cute and has so much love left to give. His goofy grin, his sweet demeanor, and his unending love are a very short list of his amazing personality traits. Mike is also a calm and gentle guy who just wants a warm place to sleep and knows how to appreciate what he’s got. You won’t get that in a puppy right away!

Mike is also crate-trained, potty-trained and a perfect road trip companion! He has seen the cat in his foster home and is very interested in barking at it, but no additional testing has been done. It may be that he prefers not to have cats around, but possibly he could get used to them. We can do further testing if you’re interested.
