Meet Midas:: 4 years old, ~50 pounds, Neutered Male Golden Retriever and Miniature Poodle mix. (Mini Goldendoodle)
Available for Adoption!
Midas is a sweet and gentle boy who has found himself searching for a new home. Midas is a good boy, and very affectionate, but he was not doing well with the new baby in the home, and he can be selective of his people. Midas will do best in a home without children. He does well with some other dogs, but can be a selective over his dog friends at times too, he is housebroken, and very well-mannered in the home.
Midas had to have his left eye removed due to Glaucoma. He was blind in the eye for a couple years before he came to our rescue and our vet recommended removing the eye. Midas gets around fine without it and doesn't let it phase him. He has a prosthetic eye in place of the eye that was removed.
$150 Adoption Fee.
All Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue dogs come spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, heartworm tested, current on heartworm and flea prevention, and microchipped.
Along with other criteria evaluated in the application, a Fenced Yard is required to adopt. Please see our Fenced Yard Requirements tab on our website for more information.
Adoption area is within a one hour radius of Cincinnati for Midas.
(Contrary to the many marketing claims made to appeal to people with allergies to pets, there is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog breed, although some individual dogs may cause fewer allergy symptoms than others. The source of pet allergies is often a protein that's in the saliva and urine of dogs and cats.
Midas is not a hypoallergenic dog breed.
Midas, and other poodle mixes, need grooming every 6 to 9 weeks. They DO SHED into their own coat which will cause matting if not properly groomed.)
