Meet Mickey - adoption pending
Mickey is a 3 year old Corgi that has lived most of his life outdoors. He's very friendly with people, and he loves attention and affection..
Because he wasn't handled much as he was growing up, he doesn't like to be groomed very much, so this is something that his new human must do slowly and with lots of reward.
He had never been on leash until he came to us, and is still learning how to walk on one. He also doesn't know many commands, like sit, stay, come needs to be taught with patience and kindness. He is treat motivated, so it shouldn't be too hard.
He hasn't enjoyed meeting other dogs, but we believe that now that he is neutered, with 100% controlled interactions with friendly, calm and non reactive dogs, he can learn to be friends with his doggie counterparts. He has been respectful to our cats.
We feel that Mickey would prefer an adult only home, due to the fact that he doesn't like to be "handled" much.
He's a sweet boy that deserves a loving home after having to be an outdoor dog.
He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, has a microchip and a tattoo.
His adoption fee is $895
