Mick Border Collie Kiowa, OK

Hey folks, Mick here. I have been in rescue for 125 days. Minus the two days, I thought I had a home. Yeah, turns out their dog didn't like me so they returned me after two days.
So, I am back in rescue and back to waiting. I am about 9 years old, which I guess sends people running. But they fail to see what an amazing boy I still am. I am good with other dogs, I am on the more chill side, I love to play in the sprinklers, and I am on the more independent side.
I am not a dog who needs constant attention or stimulation. I am perfectly happy to just fall asleep near you. I am pretty chill, and well out of my chewing stage. I am potty trained and can be trusted with free-roam of the house. I would do fine as an only dog, or in a home that has other dogs. I turn into a puppy whenever there is a water sprinkler on. I go crazy trying to catch the water and have such a blast in it.
I didn't ask to end up in the shelter as a senior. And I didn't ask to get adopted just to be returned shortly after. But I am asking for a FOREVER family. Someone who will love me, cherish me, and make me feel part of their family.
I just want a family. I can't be asking too much...can I?
