Meet Miah -- Courtesy Post

Meet Miah! This sweet girl is relatively mellow but can get a little silly and playful with her humans or dog friends. :-) Some of her favorite activities include sniffing absolutely everything on a walk and playing fetch with her humans.

Miah can be a little fearful in certain situations. For example, meeting a new human, she may need a few minutes to warm up. But once she realizes you're safe, she would love to have your attention and scritches. :-)

This gorgeous pup has been living with another female dog of similar size and they do great together! The other dog is higher-energy and more interested in play. Miah will play and snuggle with her housemate dog but often just does her own thing. So a home with another dog could work out after a proper introduction. She has no experience living with cats but appears to have pretty high prey drive (SQUIRREL!), so we recommend a home without kitties or small pets.

As a serious "foodie" -- as well as a fan of some toys -- Miah should be very trainable. She does currently pull on the leash -- in between sniffing spots! While on leash, Miah can be reactive toward other dogs; when off leash around unfamiliar dogs (in a dog park), she generally ignores the other dogs and focuses on sniffing or playing on her own.

Miah would do best in a home with a fenced yard -- not so much because she needs to run, but so that her owners can let her outside frequently for potty breaks. (Miah has an unusually small bladder.)

Miah is about 2 years old and is thought to be a pit bull/Rottweiler/German shepherd mix. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She weighs about 75 lbs.

Miah is losing her home because her loving human "mom" has gone through a recent move and lifestyle change and is no longer able to meet Miah's needs. We are helping MIah's owner find her forever home.
