Meet Mia: Adopted!
Date of birth: 12/28/2012
6/27/2016: Mia is an extremely affectionate and loving Lab/Keeshond mix. She’s a nice size at just 40 lbs, and she is 3 years old. Mia is quickly becoming a favorite of the staff and volunteers here because she’s such a little lover girl and she just adores people. She is also playful and pretty energetic, and she loves going for long walks. We've started working with her on the agility course, and she's doing really well and enjoys it. Mia does need a home without other dogs.
Mia has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for heartworms. She was brought to us because her person was moving. She’ll make a wonderful and loving companion for someone!
MORE ON ADOPTING OUR DOGS...
Please visit our web site at HSGKC.ORG for more information about our adoption process, our adoption fees and all that's included, and for a pet adoption application.
> Our goal is to send you home with a healthy pet and any information and support you may need to help your new pet adjust to his or her new home. All of our dogs & puppies have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas & ticks, tested for heartworms (7 mo. and over), and are on monthly heartworm preventative. Puppies who are too young to receive all the necessary puppy boosters and/or first rabies shot may be brought back to us for those vaccines at no extra charge. You will also receive a leash, collar, coupons for pet supplies and services, toys, and educational materials. And we'll give your dog a bath before he or she goes home!
> Please note that we prefer and may require a fenced yard for many of our dogs. Exceptions are made on an individual basis depending on the dog's needs, the person's dog experience, the dog's and person's activity levels, home environment and other factors.
> An application is required to adopt a pet and applicants must meet our adoption requirements. If you decide you'd like to adopt one of our dogs, we reserve the pet for you but we generally don't send the dog home with you that same day.
Thank you for searching for a shelter pet!
