Mia American Hairless Terrier Mix Springville, NY

Mia is a mixed breed, estimated to be 2-4 years old, who was recently rescued from a hoarding situation in Arkansas. Due to neglect in her early life, she is mostly hairless and her vet says her fur may never grow back. With proper nutrition during her few months in rescue, however, her skin is looking healthier and her foster mom has observed some very modest hair growth. She wears pajamas most of the time to protect her skin from sun damage, and we think it makes her extra snuggly and cute!

Mia is the biggest cuddle bug, she will curl up and snuggle right on top of you and follows you everywhere! She gets along good with all dogs she’s met so far. She chases and likes to play with her foster siblings. She loves her rope toy. We’ve gotten a lot better with potty training, but she will still have some accidents inside. She is crate trained for when we are away from the house and for bedtime. She’s great with kids. She doesn’t seem to care about the cats at all, but they are separated from all of the dogs. She walks great on a harness and leash too.
