Meet Mia

If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org

Meet Mia: This gorgeous "fun-sized" 2-year-old Lab mix girl was found cold and wet on the side of the road in the month of December. She blossomed in her foster home and is great with other dogs and children. Mia is kennel trained, potty trained to go outside, and a great learner with her house manners. She has earned her free roaming rights when we are home. When no one is home, she is in her kennel.
She walks well on a leash. She loves to play fetch in the back yard with little and big humans and enjoys exploring outside. Because she is still a pup she can be high energy at times, but nothing that a good walk or a game of fetch wont remedy. Her preferred method of play involves running with another dog around the yard, chasing each other and playing with toys. She loves to play with other dogs and toys, but is also gentle when she needs to be. She loves curling up on the couch with her humans and/or her best dog friend at her foster and she loves belly rubs. She has learned basic commands such as sit, stay, come and outside.

Mia is looking for an active, cat-free that will give her the exercise she needs, the training she requires and the attention she craves.  This pup is eager to learn and loves to be rewarded with a treat when she does a good job and would be a good fit for most families, as long as there is another dog for her to play with and help meet her exercise and socialization needs.

***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
