She is usually a little shy at first, often letting her more outgoing pen mate, King, make initial introductions with new people. But soon after, Merry's love for people shines through. With a little patience - plus maybe a few soft treats - she will warm up and let her loving personality take the lead. Once she trusts you, Merry becomes a loyal friend who lights up at the sight of her favorite humans, eager to show how much she cherishes your attention. She's currently sharing her space peacefully with another dog, and her easygoing nature suggests she is dog-friendly with other dogs as well (as always, a Meet n Greet is recommended if you have another dog). The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.

The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
