Merlin Boxer Texarkana, TX

MERLIN, 13 months old, 50 lbs., was living outside without the vetting, training or bonding he needed. We rescued him and his brother (Sir Elyan-being Adopted) before they were shot. He is NOT deaf. They had whipworms, hookworms, and roundworms, which caused lots of diarrhea and finally got rid of them. They were in boarding for a month as we had no foster home space. His brother picked on Merlin so we split them up and that helped both of them. They had time in Foster Homes to get healthy, gain weight, learn how to play, socialize, learn basic skills and manners for indoor living. MERLIN is a smaller Boxer who has LOTS of high energy, learns quickly, friendly, little firecracker, gives kisses, and needs your attention and assurance he is okay, He does well with small and large dogs, kids ages 6 and older.. He is house trained, crate trained, and can use the doggie door. He needs a family to continue training and making him the best boy.

Foster Dad reported that he is a hard one to "let go" and will be picky where he goes. He wants him to have an active loving family who will give him so much attention, not gone a lot, and will take him places. He is clingy and follows Foster Dad around the house and yard. He has taken Merlin out in the community and on family visits to socialize him. He was a big hit one day at Bass Pro Shop and loved all the attention. He needs a friendly dog who loves to play in his new home and to be his buddy and help his confidence. He loves playing with the 3 big Boxers in his Foster Home. There is a visiting Yorkie that he likes to play with. Merlin needs a large yard to run and play. No more outside living for this sweetie!
