Meet Mena
Mena is a darling purebred female miniature poodle puppy about 5 months old years old and 11 pounds. Full grown, she will probably weigh approximately 15 pounds, give or take a couple. Mena came to us from an owner who couldn't keep her but knew we could place her into a wonderful new home.
Mena has a soft, curly black coat. Her shining dark eyes, fine muzzle, black button nose and long floppy ears complete a very appealing look that conforms well to the breed standard.
Perhaps because of the sudden change in her young life, Mena is a little shy and timid when meeting someone for the first time. We think that’s because she’s just getting used to her new surroundings and is trying to figure out whom she can trust. We have seen her confidence grow in just the relatively brief time she has been with us. Patient volunteers and staff with a calm and reassuring approach are quickly rewarded with tentative licks and kisses. After just a short time she will climb into a lap or graciously accept being picked up, held and loved on. Mena is basically a happy dog with lots of puppy characteristics. We are eager to see her and her new person or family embark on a new life together.

All the dogs are healthy, spayed/neutered, current on shots, parasite / heart worm disease tested (and treated if positive). All dogs are microchipped, groomed and trained to use a doggie door.
