Hello there, I'm Melvin, and I would like to share my story with you. I was rescued from Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control in April, and my journey brought me to the wonderful folks at Big Dog Ranch Rescue. Now, I'm on a quest to find my forever home! at almost 7 years young, I am ready to relax in my own home. Although I am considered a senior dog, I've still got plenty of pep in my step. I'm usually very compliant, but I do need a strong handler. You see, I haven't had a ton of training in my life, so there's still quite a bit for me to learn. But here's what I can tell you: I'm good on a leash, I adore playing with toys, and I'm pretty tidy in my kennel, so it seems I'm likely potty-trained. Bath time? No big deal - I don't put up a fight, and I even like playing in the water. The staff here says I'm quite an easy guy to deal with, and they even use the word "PAWSOME" to describe me.
I'm a fan of adventures, and I get along well with my pals. I don't know how I ended up in the shelter before coming to Big Dog Ranch, but what I do know is that I want my next home to be my last. I want to settle in and get comfy for the second half of my life. I'm not picky at all, and I'm not a picky eater and not one to make a lot of noise. So, what do you think?
