Meet Megan-ADOPTION PENDING

Megan is a dignified older lady who, In her senior years, was facing the loss of her mom and the only home she's ever known. The day came when it was time for Meg to leave her home...the only choice that seemed possible was the local shelter. Her mom's family, in their grief, didn't realize that the town's facility was a very high-kill shelter. Luck was on Meg's side that sad day...our compassionate rescuer was in the shelter lobby and had the pleasure of meeting Meg as she arrived. The decision took seconds...after she held Megan close and Meg snuggled into her with so much love and trust, our rescuer knew this sweet girl was coming home with her. Farfel's was contacted hours later..and we happily accepted Megan into Farfel's Rescue.

Megan, at a tiny 4 lbs and approximately 10 - 11 years old has many healthy years left to be a full-time best friend. (Poodle mixes often live to a very ripe old age). Megan would be such a perfect companion for anyone who is searching for that very sweet lap dog. She will be by your side to hug and love on...but also has the ability to keep herself busy (or take a nap) while her family is involved in other things.

Meg may be a bit shy initially as rehoming is challenging for any dog...but with love and nurturing, she will absolutely shine. We envision Megan with either retirees (she would be overjoyed with time spent and being at the center of a loving family) or a younger family who works at home or would be able to take Megan to a dog-friendly workplace. A like-sized and and very mellow canine friend would be great for Meg as well. She would enjoy the companionship and cuddle times with her new doggie sibling.

For those family members who enjoy walks and time outside along beautiful Colorado paths ...Megan would love nothing more than to share the experience. Her foster loves daily neighborhood walks and Meg always comes along. For a while, Meg enjoys walking for a bit...and then up she goes into a backpack to enjoy the view from above. She is always up for these daily walk/rides...fascinated by the activity around her. She breathes in the air...so happy to be out and about.. And then, maybe her favorite part, it's time to end the day with hugs, belly rubs and a warm spot on the bed close beside her beloved family members.

As a Poodle/Pomeranian mix, Meg is a non-shedding girl. The family interested in adopting Megan will need to commit to periodic coat care. She will require occasional grooming and great nutrition to keep her hair cottony-soft, very healthy and mat-free.

Megan will be arriving on transport in Denver on Saturday 1/27/18. Applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet and devoted best friend and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If interested, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.

**PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Megan, please be sure to fill out our adoption application. It's the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in most circumstances, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit an adoption application. Thanks so much for choosing rescue.
