Meg-URGENT!!!!'s Story

8/21/2009-Meg was reclaimed by her family!!

MEG IS IN URGENT STATUS AND MUST FIND HER FOREVER HOME BY AUGUST 27TH OR SHE COULD FACE EUTHANIZATION. MEG WAS RECENTLY PICKED UP AS A STRAY IN JONES COUNTY. JONES COUNTY DOES NOT HAVE A SHELTER. ALL DOGS ARE HELD FOR 7 DAYS. AFTER HER HOLD TIME, MEG MUST HAVE A FOREVER HOME, RESCUE OR FOSTER HOME TO GO TO. ALL OF AWF'S FOSTER HOMES ARE FULL!!

This gorgeous chocolate girl is Meg. Meg is the most recent in a VERY long line of strays that has been picked up in Jones County. Meg is approx. 3 years old and weighs 45 lbs.-she is the perfect size for any household.

Meg is an awesome girl!! Whoever let this girl out of their life is sure missing out!! Meg is so sweet and absolutely loves all the people she is meeting-during her photo shoot, she went right up to a gentleman who had come into the vet clinic and nuzzled right up to him as if to say "please take me home"! Meg has the fun energy of a puppy, though not overwhelming with it at all. The one word that seems to describe Meg the most-HAPPY!!

If you are interested in Meg, please contact Jen IMMEDIATELY at jenotfas@yahoo.com or 319-480-0945.

The first step to AWF's adoption process is to fill out an Adoption Application.
To download our adoption application, please click here. Completed applications can be sent as an attachment to jenotfas@yahoo.com or faxed to 319-393-0056.

Meg's adoption fee is $110!

All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, tested for heartworm to ensure they are negative and are on flea and heartworm preventative.

No adoptions outside of an approx. 50-mile radius of Cedar Rapids. In some instances, we are able to make an adoption outside of the radius work (but this varies on a case by case basis and may depend on where you live). The limited radius is due to a mandatory home visit needing to be done at the adoptive home by a rescue volunteer.

Breed Disclosure: Due to the fact that most of our adoptable pets are strays, we can not guarantee their breed. We list the pet’s breed as the one that best matches the physical appearance, temperament, and personality of the animal. The pet may also be listed as a mix when it’s actually a purebred.
