Have you seen this adorable girl yet? Her smile could brighten any day! She's been spending time at the rescue and she's looking for a family of her very own!
The consistency, training, nutrition, physical therapy, enrichment, exercise, and love that she has received from our staff and volunteers and some excellent small businesses (Miss Behavior Training, Mountain Brook Home Veterinary Care, Victoria Jardon DVM, Canine Strong) has been nothing short of incredible.
Meg is an incredibly happy dog. Though we have worked through some mouthing and “rude” behaviors, there is not one mean bone in this dog’s body. She’s someone’s bestie, waiting to be found.
Our ideal home for Meg, our hopes and dreams for her forever, are as follows:
A young couple where she’s their first “baby”, their main focus.
A fenced yard (this is negotiable, but Meg benefits from time to move at her own pace and sniff and explore).
Enrichment activities.
Access to continued support from Physical Therapy (carryover can be done at home with consult from PT). We have the equipment and will gladly send it along as part of the Meg Adoption Package.
Meg’s family should be dog savvy and excited to teach her because she LOVES to learn. We have LOTS of material to help her family get started with training and I know Miss Behavior Training would love to remain a part of Team Meg.
Meg is not a dog who can never live with other dogs in my eyes. She’s not a dog who can never live with children…but she’s a dog who will require one or two on one support through a transition to a new home and being the “only” initially would make it easier to provide what she needs…..and deserves.
Please share Meg’s story so we can find her unicorn adopters
She's around 1-1.5 years old and 68-70 lbs.
