McGraw and Megan were just waiting at the pound. Our best guess would be that they are discarded new pets--easy come/easy go. These are awfully nice big puppies. And, they are at the prime stage in their lives to become great (housebroke) family members and companions. One, their minds are old enough to comprehend (after a bit) what it is that you want them to do; two, their bodies are mature enough that they are starting to be able to associate 'this feeling' with 'this happening;' and, three, they are still too young to have created really bad, ingrained habits. McGraw is working on his vetting,* but hopes to be able to hunker himself down in his crate, get on that van and go find his forever family at the next adoption event at the Shorewood Petco. He (and we) hope that their is a warm, nurturing forever home waiting for him. *All dogs that leave Cache Creek are up-to-date on all shots (including rabies, if old enough), wormed appropriately, heartworm tested (if age-appropriate) and started on heartworm preventative, treated with flea/tick preventative, spayed or neutered, and microchipped.
