Meet Maya!
Maya the Husky is funny, sweet and vocal, and she wags her tail every chance she gets – especially when meeting people, whether in the home or out and about. If you’re a kid, you can even expect kisses! She likes to be petted and held, and enjoys car rides and going to the dog park when the weather allows. An active, playful girl, she loves to walk/ run outside and is always up for a game of fetch. She gets along great with other dogs, who she’ll greet on all fours, ready to play.
When she’s hanging out indoors, Maya is very fond of hard chew bones such as Benebones. She likes to snuggle and she will even sleep in bed with you and not wake you up. She is treat-motivated (Pupperoni, please!) and knows a number of commands from her time in obedience training such as give paw, sit, and lie down. She is tuned in to the cues you give her and will look to you for guidance. She will let you know when she has to go to the bathroom and is crate trained.
Maya got top marks from the boarding facility she stayed at for a weekend, where they complimented her on how she great she did; a weekend sitter once called her “an angel.” Unfortunately for Maya, her owner developed a severe allergy and can no longer keep her.
