Maya Mixed Breed Sudbury, MA

Maya is a gentle and goofy girl looking for her furever home! She adores other dogs of all ages and sizes, she is a pro at winning over even grouchy dogs! She is timid of new people and will need a doggy playmate in the home to help her adjust and boost her confidence. She may need a more literal boost later in life, as this poor girl had hips so bad she needed double hip replacements as an adolescent! Now recovered from surgery, she can finally run and play with her dog pals pain-free! She did keep her funny walk though, but is learning she doesn't need to hop around anymore. A quiet home without many visitors would be best, and she does well with kids 12 and up who know to go slow and be quiet and gentle as she warms up. She loves playtime with kitties as well, but it's not always mutual. Any kitty roommates will need to be comfortable with a big dog and confident enough to not run from her, as she will just think they're playing chase. Apartments or urban living would be too stressful for this sensitive girl; a single-family style home with a fenced-in yard would be ideal! She is housebroken, walks well on a leash, enjoys car rides, and loves a good snuggle with her family, human or canine.

Maya is about 2 years old and currently 67lbs.
