May (VA)'s Story
May is a lovely 11 lb., 2 year-old rat terrier with a big personality and even bigger heart! She came from a breeder where she mostly lived outside, so she's still learning what it means to be a house dog.

In her foster home, May was timid at first, hiding in her crate and unsure of everything. But after only a short time, she is now constantly by her foster parent's side, dishing out kisses and seeking all the pets and belly rubs. She sleeps in a crate at night, rides great in the car, and absolutely loves going for walks - although this young gal may require a bit of work on leash manners.

She's currently living with two small foster brothers and does well with them - she'll play chase or tug when the mood strikes, and there's no food or toy guarding. She's still working on house-training and basic manners, and she thrives on routine and structure. She's also got some classic rat terrier sass: protective of her person, curious about the world, and yes, she did catch a squirrel once (don't worry - it got away!).

May is loyal, loving, and will provide her new family with an endless amount of laughs. She will be the greatest sidekick you've ever had.

You can find more photos of May here:
https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/may
