Max(ADOPTED!) Shepherd & Hound Mix Chicago, IL

**MAX HAS BEEN ADOPTED!** Max is a goofy, handsome, friendly, social guy looking for a loving family! This sweet boy was rescued from an overburdened animal control facility in rural Kentucky. He appears to be a Shepherd/Hound mix and is about 10-12 months. He weighs 38 pounds so a great medium size, not too large, not too small! Max is a happy dog that is very excited about life! He loves making new friends and does well with other dogs too. Max is a total wiggle-butt of a dog! His tail is in constant motion and he always has a smile on his face. He has not had much in the way of training and can still be a bit rambunctious when excited so homes with older children who will not be knocked over by his exuberant greetings will be the best match for him. Max's ideal home will be with guardians who can help him work on his manners and some basic obedience with him and guardians who can provide him with lots of exercise and playtime throughout the day. He is crate trained and does well with his housebreaking when kept on a regular schedule. Max is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date with age-appropriate vaccines, and started on flea and heartworm prevention. Max is anxious to meet his forever family, could it be yours?

• Max's adoption fee is $375. This fee covers the cost of his neuter, initial vaccines, microchip, and initial de-worming. Pal's Place relies solely on donations to care for the animals in our rescue. Your donation also helps save other animals like Max from euthanasia. Pal's Place cannot hold dogs for more than a couple of days after an application has been submitted for a meet and greet. Please do not apply until you are ready to welcome a dog into your home.
