Meet Max C.
Max is a smart, energetic, and playful one-year-old German Shepherd. He was surrendered to animal control when his owner could no longer care for him. Max lived previously with a 6 year old child and a female husky. There is nothing Max loves more than to play a game of fetch! He is constantly searching on his walks for a ball, stick, or toy to play with. Max is quite active and likes to take frequent walks throughout the day.
Max has been quick to learn several commands in the two weeks his foster parents have been caring for him, including Sit, Stay, and Slow. He is housebroken and crate trained. He has also learned not to bark at home or whine in his crate. Max is a strong, curious guy and often pulls hard on his leash, but he is getting better with training. Sometimes Max will lunge and bark at other humans or dogs on a leashed walk, but he is calm and friendly when visiting a dog park.
Max is very loving and affectionate with his foster parents and enjoys a good belly rub. He is very sweet, and with additional training, will make a wonderful companion for his owner or family.
The application is our first step and we will let you know as soon as it arrives. We only adopt local to Chicagoland.
Adoption fee includes: spay or neuter, all shots, heart worm testing, fecal test and microchip.
