Meet Max (A022977)
Meet Max this Saturday, July 24 from 10am to 2pm at the KCK PetSmart at 7738 State Avenue in KCK!
We are also open this Sunday at our shelter (3301 Park Drive in KCK) from Noon to 2pm.
Max is a 4 year old Shepherd mix that weighs 72lbs. He is a bit shy at first but once he warms up he will be running zoomies in the backyard wanting you to chase him. Max is a docile guy that would do well as a couch cuddler. We believe he has had previous potty training so should get right onto a schedule. He may seem a little stand offish at first but once he discovers he can trust you he really comes out of his shell. He likes his doggy friends. Max loves to explore the yard and take in all the sniffs. He would do best in a house with a backyard to allow him plenty of outside time as it is his favorite part of the day. He loves to swim in the baby pool and loves toys. Max loves laying on his dog bed, and enjoying his frozen kong. Max’s ideal family will be laid back like he is and give him plenty of love and support.
Sadly, Max tested positive for heartworms. We need to get him into a home during his treatment. The cost for the heartworm treatment is covered. We can provide you with more info about his heartworm treatment if you are interested in adopting or fostering him.
Adoption hours during the week are very limited so please give us a call at 913-321-1445 to make arrangements for a meet and greet. If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.
Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).
