Meet Max
Hi! I'm Max. I'm really hoping you might have a home for me. You see, I was a much-loved family member who got displaced when my owner sadly passed away. I'm in my senior years and deserve a new lease on life.
My age is a bit of a mystery - a brief vet record had me at 14 years old, but my teeth and eyes look like that of a younger dog. I am also obese; I'm looking for someone who can help me on a healthy journey to a healthier weight. Shelter staff suspects that when I get weight off, I will have a lot more pep in my step! I am currently over 80lbs, but I should probably be closer to being in the 50s.
I've been very easygoing here and get along with all people I've met. I also have been very mellow meeting new dogs. I had to be groomed here at the shelter and was a perfect angel during bathtime, brushing, and shaving off my mats. Please don't laugh at my haircut!
I'm a well socialized, chill guy looking for a new forever. I LOVE to shake hands and show off my trick. I also probably will enjoy chasing toys once I'm healthier. A stick grabbed my attention!
I'm fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date on parasite preventatives. I am $87 to bring home!
If you are interested, please call the shelter at (541) 474-5458. You can view more adoptable pets at www.jocoshelter.com/adoptions . Walk-ins are welcome, however we highly recommend calling first to check on availability and location (some animals may be offsite or unavailable). Appointments are recommended to reduce wait times, especially for dogs. Thank you!
