We know there are thousands of dogs looking for homes in Ohio, but we're really hoping you'll take a second to read about Max.

Max is looking for a forever home with someone who understands the loyal, protective nature of shepherds. Max was surrendered to us in October when his owner moved, and honestly--we're baffled he's still here!

Max thrives best in a home with teenagers.

He has gotten along well with several dogs at the shelter, *BUT* doesn't seem to want to share his home with them. For this reason, we're looking for a home where he can be your only dog.

While we haven't had the chance to cat-test him ourselves, his previous owner said he's feline-friendly--and we're happy to do a proper test if needed.

We were told Max is 3 years old, though he might be closer to 5. He's housebroken but may need a little patience as he adjusts from kennel life back into a home routine.
