Max's Story
Meet Max, this sweet 9 year old gentle giant was adopted from Texas City Animal Control after he was seen roaming the mean streets for 3 months. Max waited patiently for 2 months at the shelter before being adopted. Sadly, his owner of many years is experiencing a very challenging medical situation and taking care of Max is becoming too much.

Max is great with kids and gets along very well with other dogs. His best canine friend is an 8 lb little guy.

Max's one little issue is that if you take him off the leash or if he isn't in an enclosed area, he will take off running and it is hard to get him to come back. A fenced in yard would be the ideal setup for him so he can still run but not run free like he thinks he wants to.

He does well on a leash but his owner suggests only adults walk him since he is a pretty big guy (81lbs!). He really is a sweet heart.
