Meet Max
This adorable and cuddly Labrador Retriever mix puppy came to us about 1 week into his short little life when a young man called stating he had found him in a box on the side of the road. Our hearts broke and we immediately went into bottle feeding foster finding mode. We were graced with four wonderful fosters (spread across three rescues – because it takes a village) and went to work to get Max and his eight siblings as healthy and happy as possible.
Max was in foster care with Minnie, a stray kitten and of the two, he is the quiet, meek puppy while his kitten sister is the rambunctious, verbal one. We would love for them to get adopted together, but it is not necessary. Despite being raised without a mother, Max has done amazing and all of them are growing up with their own little personalities and quarks.
Max, like we said, is more of the shy, timid type...for now. At such an early age, it is hard to tell what his true personality will be, but what we know so far is that he is not a barker, he is good with strangers, and he is an amazing car rider. He has had his first set of shots and is scheduled for more vaccinations and spaying on 11/1/2022.
We are currently taking applications and if approved, a deposit to hold Max until he is completely ready to be adopted will apply.

Once we’ve discussed the pet with you and deem a potential fit, we’ll set up a meet and greet (either virtual or in person) at which time we can also conduct a home visit. If this goes well, we will verify your references, both vet and personal (if necessary). If all checks out, we’ll contact you to discuss further adoption arrangements such as transportation. Transport costs will apply on top of the pet’s adoption fee, which varies depending on the animal.
We reserve the right to deny adoption. Our job as a rescue is to ensure that the animals we save are able to leave their past behind and live their best life.
