Meet Max, a 1-2 year old sable Boxer-Shepherd mix. He weighs 50 lb, and is 26 inches in height. Max is going to be an awesome family dog. He loves other dogs and puppies, and actually would do best with at least one canine buddy. He loves to play with other dogs, has a submissive nature and cuddles with them. He is curious with cats, and will cuddle with them also. He loves all humans, including children ages 5 to 18 years. He is playful with plenty of energy, sweet and happy and is a big-time cuddle bug with humans also. Max is housetrained using a doggie door and has had no accidents or marking issues. He knows "sit." Max could use a little practice on a leash but should do well with that. Max is just a loving, playful, intelligent and great all around dog, and cuddler extraordinaire. He would love to be your family member and friend. Please apply at yvpr.org/adoptions to add Max to your family!
An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet can be set up. If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time. We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Therefore, meets and adoptions take place at either our office or at a place chosen by the foster. If a pet has 'pending' beside its name, an adoption is imminent. Please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through. Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for.
