Meet Max
Max is an almost 2 year old German Shepherd. He came into HART as an owner surrender due to no fault of his own. his owner was having some medical issues that required extended hospitalization.
Max is a big boy and doesn’t know his size. He also is a bit under socialized so he needs a family that is willing to continue to work with him and show him the world is fun!
He is good with kids, although 5+ is probably best because of his size. He is also good with other dogs with proper introductions and is in a foster home with 2 other Shepherds. He has a strong prey drive so cats or smaller dogs aren’t a good idea.
Due to his strong personality and drive, Max will only be approved to homes with Shepherd (or working dog) experience and someone who is willing to continue his training.
All HART dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella and rabies. They are heartworm tested and on preventative for heartworm, fleas, and ticks.
