Max's Story
Français ci-dessous

Meet Max – The Lovable Tripod with a Hop in His Step!

Max, a 3-year-old Rottweiler mix, is a sweet and energetic boy looking for a patient, loving home. When he was found, it appeared he had been hit by a car—his front left leg had been broken for some time, and the only option was amputation. The result is a charming little hop in his step, but Max gets around perfectly fine on three legs!

Max is a friendly dog, though he can be nervous around some men and may bark at first. Once he feels secure, he’s affectionate and loves cuddles, always happy to be near his people. He enjoys playing ball (though he’s more about the chase than the return) and would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard.

Max has lived with other dogs, but he can be selective, tending to prefer female companions. He is not a fan of cats and has a high prey drive, making a cat-free home essential. With the right family, he would also do well with kids, offering loyalty, love, and plenty of personality.

Max is a great dog with a playful spirit and an affectionate nature who will thrive with the support of a loving family. If you think you can provide Max with the forever home he deserves, we'd love to hear from you.

To inquire about Max, please give our dog adoption coordinator, Brenda, a call at 819-876-7747 any day of the week between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

********************************
