Max Australian Shepherd & Border Collie Mix Manhattan, KS

Hello! My dog Max needs a new home where he can be his true Awesome Aussie self. He is about 5 years old. Max needs to be rehomed. He was left at his owners parent's house 2 years ago and he is not getting the attention that he needs. Max is actually an Aussie/Border Collie X, he has a full tail ;)
He has a ton of energy. He usually just runs around and plays with the other dogs (as long as they aren't males). But he wants to round everything up. Of course. He also knocks over and rounds up young children. Max got into a fight with another male dog at his house.

He listens to us humans very well. He has never been a house dog, but he is crate trained and I bet he would be fine in the house. He is smart, smart, smart. Of course since he is an Aussie/BC! I just don't feel we can give him the attention he deserves.

I believe he can be trained and would make a great agility dog. He has never bitten any human and has never been in a fight in front of me or my husband. He stops immediately when we call him. Even once a chicken flew into the pen he was in and he dropped her immediately when I told him. Even the fights with other dogs I believe is because he is trying to herd them.

Max walks on a leash fine and has been through basic obedience training. He's a fabulous dog. He is neutered, up to date on shots and on heart worm meds. If you would like to adopt Max, you can apply online @ www.purple-paws.org ;)
