MAVERICK Shepherd & Husky Mix Las Vegas, NV

Maverick is a 5 yo Australian Shepherd mix. His fosters ADORE him!! He’s adjusted so easily joining their pack of small senior dogs, 10 - 20 lbs range and he does great with them! Their other foster is a 50 lb female German Shepherd and they get along amazing. He love love loves playing fetch with squeaky balls!!! ???? ??

Maverick does have an eye issue currently being treated, a gray discoloration of his eyes called “Pannus” common to shepherd mixes because of UV light. He wears UV doggles when he is outside and gets drops in his eyes 2x per day. It is so easy to give them to him he is so good; it is important that any potential adopter keep up with this. He does love putting his doggles on because this means he is about to go outside!! ?

When we are on the couch, Maverick will plump down his upper little body on the couch to be pet by you!! Maverick is friendly with other dogs, strangers and small kids!! He loves walks and walks really well on leash.

Maverick does not bark, except when someone comes to the front door and in the yard when he hears people walking by. He loves meal time, and will run inside to his room straight to his bowl when it’s time to eat! Maverick sleeps straight thru the night in a dog bed, doesn’t make a peep and no accidents. Bedtime is 7-8 pm, wake up time around 6-6:30. He is an affectionate doggy, giving licks on the face ALL THE TIME ??Maverick is a happy, loving boy, ready for his forever home ???
