Meet Matrix(Banner)

"Where to start with this amazing guy. Matrix, aka Banner, is one of the biggest gentle giants you will ever meet. He is 150lbs of fluff, slobber, and absolute majesticness.
Banner is good with everyone and everything he meets. He may "seem" intimidating, but he has the most casual and chill personality around. He can be greeted by several new dogs at once, and will just stand there towering above all of them while they get their sniffs in. Banner is good with cats and really doesn't pay them any attention. He loves meeting new people and doesn't have any reservations about making new friends.
Banner has excellent house manners and is completely potty trained. He is not a chewer and has not attempted to get into anything that he shouldn't. Banner has never needed to be kenneled and can be trusted to have free roam of the house. He will need a home that won't kennel him either because it simply is not necessary, he is absolutely perfect in the house and way too big to stuff in a kennel.
Banner spends most of his day napping but he will occasionally engage in some light play with the other dogs. Banner does create a pretty good amount of slobber that tends to go everywhere when he shakes his head, so his new family needs to be okay with that. He doesn't constantly do it, but anytime he gets really excited or food is around...be prepared to be slobbered! ?
Banner is the kind of boy that would fit well into just about any family. As long as they are okay housing a mini pony. They also need to be prepared for all the costs that come with his size as well. Banner does get playful with his people sometimes and while he is usually pretty gentle about it, we do recommend that the people in the household are able to handle being "bumped" into by a mini pony on occasion. Sometimes he does this wiggle butt dance and it is the cutest thing ever! Usually, it is when he is trying to rub some slobber on you and you keep trying to jump out of the way...it turns into a whole game! He gets so happy that you cannot help but end it by giving him a big ole hug after!

---------------------------------------------
Hello there! My name is Matrix, aka Banner, and I am a 5.5-year-old, 150lb male Great Pyrenees/Saint Bernard mix. I am sure you are wondering while I have two names...well you see when I was originally surrendered to the shelter that I was pulled from in September 2019, my name was Banner. This rescue already had a Banner though and couldn't use my name again for record purposes so I was given the rescue name Matrix. However, I responded well to Banner and they kept using it for me. When I got adopted, my adoptive family also kept calling me Banner so this is the name that I have had my whole life. So everyone calls me Banner, but for record purposes, I need to be listed as Matrix. Kinda silly right? But it helps this rescue keep all their records straight, and with so many dogs...it definitely helps not to use the same names over and over.
I am sure you are curious why I am back in rescue. Well, I had an amazing home for these past few years but sadly my owner had some medical issues develop which left her unable to properly care for me anymore. She ended up having to make the hard decision to surrender me back to rescue.
I am a very happy and low-key boy. It doesn't take me long to bond to people, and then I just want to be where they are. I am not pushy for attention and am perfectly content just lying in the same room as them. With that said, I do sometimes have my playful/super happy moments where I want to keep leaning into you and play with you for a short time. So, my new family will need to be ready to tango with a miniature pony for a little bit at times ?
I am excited to go places with you and will often be waiting by the front door trying to leave with you. I do think that I would enjoy going places with my new family, but keep in mind that I am not an active dog. So, a casual stroll through the park or a visit to a pet-friendly place I can do. A run through the forest or hiking miles on end...not so much. I do love meeting new people though and am friendly with them. The same goes for any new dogs that I may come across. I would be up for going on some short walks with my new family, but am probably not a candidate to take hiking.
I have excellent house manners and have been nothing but an angel. I don't chew, I am potty trained, and don't really get on furniture unless asked to. I am not a big barker inside, but will bark if I hear other dogs barking or strange noises when I am outside. I am given free roam of the house 24/7 and do amazing with it. I have never needed to be kenneled and would like a home that also won't kennel me since it is not necessary for me.
I am 150lbs so my new family will need to be prepared for a big puppers. I am pretty calm and gentle, but a more open floor plan is needed. I wouldn't be a candidate for apartment living, as I do need a lot of room to move around. Along with that, my new family will need to be ready for all the costs associated with my big self. Lastly, I am a Saint mix which means I do drool and slobber a good amount so my new family needs to be okay with that. I don't do it consistently, but definitely do more than your average dog.
Have you fallen in love with my majestic self? If so, you can apply to adopt me at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app
I am not interested in being your "UNTIL" dog though. So, if you apply for me....make sure you can commit to me for furever. I really don't want to have to be passed around yet again down the road.
Once your submit an application for me, it will be sent to my foster family. This is to help ensure that not only am I a good fit for you but that you are also a good fit for me! ?
I am currently residing in the Tulsa, OK area. If you have fallen in love with me and are out of state, how about a road trip? I won't go on a long transport, so the only way I am relocating to another state...is if we are in that car together ?
My adoption fee is $250. That will include my DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordetella. I will be micro-chipped, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention
