Meet Matilda (Tilley)
Meet Tilley (Matilda), a young, playful spirit who radiates energy and friendliness. Her days are filled with playful antics and boundless enthusiasm, always ready to turn any moment into a fun game. She can be vocal at times, but always for a reason, such as seeing a dog across the street -- she wants to greet it!
She's not all energy though; silly Tilley also loves her cuddle time. Her affectionate nature shines through in her soft nuzzles and warm snuggles. She's always eager to show her love and get some in return, especially while nested in your bed!
Her friendly demeanor makes her an ideal companion for any family or individual seeking a lively, loving, goofy pet, who will occasionally steal your sock or shoe, to lure you into a chase! Adopting Tilley means gaining a forever friend who will bring joy, love, and playful energy into your life. Active families will adore her!
Here is what we know about Matilda:
--Tilley was a stray in a shelter in Ontario. Nobody looked for her.
--10 months old in April 2025 (estimated); spayed, vaccinated, microchipped
--Lots of puppy energy, will need regular exercise and playtime
--Great with dogs, respectful of cats but will bark at them, and people
--We don't know if she has experience with kids, but because of her size, bouncy behavior and occasional puppy nips, we recommend children over 12
--As an adolescent, she will jump up happily on people and needs more training
--Tilley loves to wrestle and play vigorously with other dogs
--Has learned "come" and "sit"
House manners:
--Tilley will have separation anxiety at first, in her new home. Being abandoned by her people was difficult for her.
--She doesn't like crates and will need to be carefully trained to accept them
--She has been left to roam freely in the home for up to 5 hours, with another dog, with no chewing or soiling
--Tilley is doing great with housetraining and leash training, but both are still a work in progress.
