Meet Massey in PA - Loyal & Cuddly Boy!

Meet Massey, a charming young Pyr with a protective nature and a heart full of love! This giant cuddle bug thrives on being close to his people and is as loyal as they come. Massey knows basic commands like “sit” and “come” and walks well on a leash, but his classic Pyr stubbornness adds a charming independent touch to his personality. He’s housebroken and loves car rides, being brushed, and spending time with his family. While he’s great with dog-savvy cats and enjoys playing with other dogs, his ideal home would be with a smaller, pyr-experienced family who can dedicate time to his ongoing training. Massey loves finding and collecting "special treasures" around the house and is a clever escape artist, so he needs a secure home with locked doors and a 6-foot fenced yard. With patience, understanding, and proper management of his quirks, Massey will reward his adopters with endless loyalty and companionship. If you’re a true lover of the breed and are looking for a protective and affectionate companion, Massey is your guy!

Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.

Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
