Meet Maryanne
Maryanne, with her sister Wanda, was found pregnant and stray in California. She needed a safe place to raise her puppies and we happily took her in. Now that the pups are weaned and adopted, Maryanne is ready for her own home too.
Maryanne is about 2-3 years old and is a little gal at 10 pounds. She is likely part long-hair chihuahua, and like most little dogs, she barks as her first line of defense. For that reason, Maryanne would like to live with someone without thin walls or noisy hallways - she's the type to alert you to every bump in the night. However, she warms up quickly to people and is very affectionate to those she trusts. We don't blame her for being nervous about new people; it's scary in the bright new world she went out looking for!
Potty and crate trained, Maryanne is a good house guest. She is sweet with her foster-dog siblings and loves to play with stuffed toys. Maryanne is also good on a leash, but needs some confidence still when she passes other people or animals. She isn't quite as brave as her namesake in "Goodbye Earl".
Maryanne's foster mom says she loves to give kisses and sit on your lap when she's not rolling on her back to ask for pets. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative and is current on her flea and heartworm preventions.
The stray and pregnant life is far behind her. Maryanne sees a happy home in her future. Is it yours? Apply to adopt at www.stumptownstrays.org
