Marvin Whippet & Chihuahua Mix Knoxville, TN

Marvin is a 1.5 year old small breed. He was rescued after being neglected for most of his life. He came to us soooo skinny, hungry, and timid. He is right under 20 pounds and is very tall and lanky.

Marvin is 100% kennel trained. He is not used to being taken out to potty, so we are still working with him on potty training. So far he has done great. The only accidents that he's had are when we let him out of his kennel, and do not take him right outside. He is already quickly getting the hang of it!!!

Marvin is great with other dogs and children. He has been around dogs of all shapes and sizes and ages and has no issues. Marvin LOVES to snuggle up in bed. He is so grateful for a loving home, it is adorable. He just needs someone who is willing to socialize him and keep working on gaining weight. He would be great in an apartment, he does not bark at all when kenneled. He is medium energy level. He will go out in the yard and play for a little while, or take a ten minute walk, but other than that he is content on the couch.

Marvin is allergic to chicken, so he must eat a fish-based food (possibly lamb). We use Rachel Ray Nutrish Salmon and it has really helped him itch less!

Marvin is UTD on shots, neutered, microchipped, and HW-.
