Meet Marvel!

The day has come for everyone’s favorite rockstar! Marvel is officially available for adoption! I’m so happy for this tough guy! After going through so much and still having a huge smile every day-he’s really a super star! Marvel is a 3 years old brindle Boxer. He was treated for heartworm and rocked it! He is amazing with other dogs (we have a large breed Catahoula at my home and there was zero aggression from him!) he is also NOT food aggressive, but don’t let his small frame fool you-this boy has got an appetite!! When we got him, he was at an unbelievable emaciated weight of 38 pounds! Since fostering, he’s healthy and happy and so strong at a wonderful 44 pounds! Vet says it’s his perfect weight! Because of his many years of exposure to extreme weather conditions before he was rescued, he has experienced sores on his manhood. Fortunately we have been able to make huge strides with his recovery! A bit of his manhood can still be seen and exposed (unsheathed) but according to the vet this can fix itself within the next few months. This situation does NOT effect his personality or ability to use the bathroom one bit! With any dog being introduced to a new home it’s vital to keep him on a scheduled food and bathroom time. He is housebroken because we have him on a scheduled feeding. Let’s just say he’s very regular after each feeding! He’s still learning the ropes being on a leash for walks but he’s doing so well! He loves to lay down next to you, very content just being around his humans! He also is a huge fan of toys! He gets quite the kick out of tossing them up in the air himself and trying to catch them! I can’t say enough about Marvel! Even with all he had been through before his rescue, you can see the love and hope in his eyes every day! He never lost that hope for safety and security, and hopefully soon he’ll have that with his furever home!

Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a teenager or adult dog.

Our standard adoption fees are as follows $400 for puppies up to 12 months, $300 for adults, and $200 for seniors 7yrs and up with cash or e-payment via Venmo, Zelle/QuickPay. It includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative, heartworm preventative, free vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.
