Meet Marshmallow- DEAF

Marshmallow has found his forever home in Sharon, MA with Gretchen P and Jerson P.

Marshmallow is a 2 year old American Bulldog mix. He weighs about 50 pounds.
Marshmallow is deaf.

Check out Marshmallow's video. He is in MA. Approved applicants can arrange to meet him.
He is very friendly, loving and loves to give kisses. He wiggles his whole body when he is happy.

Marshmallow came into rescue as as stray. His foster mom says "Marshmallow is a very special, handsome boy. He is completely deaf. What he lacks in hearing, he makes up with his adorable personality. He is so sweet and loving. Doing great in foster care. He has not met a stranger yet. Good with other dogs he has met".

Marshmallow is crate trained and housebroken. He loves to be petted, snuggle and go for car rides. He likes to walk on a leash but is strong and will pull, so needs more training in leash manners. Marshmallow gets along with other dogs but has not been cat tested. He is looking for a home with a fenced yard where he can run and play safely, and a family that can devote time to play with and train him. Deaf dogs can be trained with hand signals, or by other means. He is treat motivated, a great thing for training. He must always be kept on leash when outside of the fenced yard. He would do well with a companion dog to be his buddy, but this is not necessary. He needs a home without small children, who may startle and scare him.

Please complete an online APPLICATION if you wish to adopt. Forever Home Rescue New England is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. THERE IS NO SPECIFIC SHELTER LOCATION. If you wish to meet our dogs, you must first be approved by going through our application and screening process. Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Also, any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the south and will prefer to do their business outdoors. Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old and up. If you are approved to adopt, please submit the $100 deposit by clicking on our rescue's name in this posting (Forever Home Rescue New England--in purple) which will bring you to a new page with the deposit link at the bottom.
