Meet Marsha Mouse

Marsha AKA "Mouse"
2 years old (This is the vet’s guess based on her teeth)
13 lbs
Jack Russell Terrier - Doxie Mix (This is our best guess, again we don’t know for sure, since she was a street dog from Mexico)

Marsha AKA Mouse is the sweetest little girl. She is a small terrier mix who wants one person who is all her own. She will follow you closely once she knows you are her person, always ready to sit in your lap or curl up next to you on the sofa. At bedtime, Mouse will find a warm spot against your body. She curls up like a cat and tucks her nose under her paws or the blanket or even into your shirt if she can.

Mouse has never had an accident in the house. She would prefer a home with a fenced backyard where she can roam free and explore and get her zoomies out.

While she has many toys, she prefers one small, special stuffie toy and loves for you to throw it so she can chase it and get her zoomies out. Mouse likes treats, but is not especially treat-motivated. She enjoys a Kong chew toy if it is filled with peanut butter.

Mouse will bark to alert you that someone has knocked on the door or rang the doorbell or if she hears something outside,

Mouse's ideal adopter would be single person who won't leave Mouse all day while at work. No kids or other pets in the home because she just wants to be your one and only love interest... a house with a fenced backyard. Mouse would love an adopter who will let her be a lap dog and snuggle with you in bed at night.

Mouse enjoys quite walks around the neighborhood where there isn't alot of other dogs or people - she will often bark at other dogs and sometimes people on her walks.

Mouse was originally rescued from an area with a large population of street dogs. It is known as the dumping ground for the unwanted. Many times a large amount of dogs get poisoned. That is how they deal with homeless street dogs in the area. Mouse and 4 other dogs were rescued at the same time from Mexico.

Adoption fee is $450 ---- that covers all of the vaccines (DHLPP, Rabies and Bordetella), current on flea/tick treatment, fecal testing, deworming, sterilization (spay/neuter), Heartworm-Lyme-Ehrlichia-Anaplasma Blood Test, dental cleaning (if needed), Distemper and Parvo blood test to make sure the dog is disease-free, Health Certificate, Microchip with registration, grooming before transport and the expensive flight transport from Guadalajara, Mexico to Portland, Oregon. We will also send the dog home with a brand new collar, ID tag, leash and a bag of the kibble they are currently eating.
