Meet Marrow
Marrow STILL hasn't had any applications. Let's get him a HOME!
Marrow, our 2 year old, 50 lb mixed breed dog comes to us from Fresno. He was found stray with a badly broken leg and the shelter had to amputate. Frustratingly, the incision would not heal and so we were asked to help.
Marrow charmed us right away. Despite a non-healing wound, he was immediately sweet and good for all his exams. As it turns out, he had a piece of infected bone left behind and needed another surgery to repair the wound. Now that he's done with antibiotics and fully healed, Marrow is ready to charm his forever person.
We've discovered that Marrow is dog friendly, but he can initially come on a little strong. A slow introduction is recommended, but Marrow makes friends easily. Marrow chases cats, and he probably shouldn't live with them. He was good with the kids in his foster home, and kids over 10 should be fine. The kids should be old enough to respect Marrow's space. Marrow is very good in a kennel and is potty trained.
Marrow is active, despite having just 3 legs, and loves to go on walks. He is also playful, smart and eager to please. He can be nervous in new situations, but once he's comfortable, he's cuddly and loyal. He's a fun dog to take to coffee shops and would be up for just about any adventure.
Marrow is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and current on his preventatives.
We see a lot of tripods at Stumptown, and we love them. They really are such an example of a dog's resilience. Love a tripod too? Apply to adopt at www.stumptownstrays.org
