Marlin Cattle Dog Mix Littleton, CO

My name is Marlin! I was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico a couple of years ago. I consider myself a 50 pound super mutt! The DNA thing says I am a Chihuahua mix but that's a bunch of bunk, I am the perfect medium size mutt full of a bunch of breeds! My Second birthday is coming up shortly and I would love to know my new family by then. I was adopted by a wonderful human who had to let me go due to a very good personal reason, I miss her, but cannot wait to meet my new family. My foster is cool but I know I am not going to be with him and his dog forever which gets me excited about a new family to share my love with!

That's right, I have a ton of love to give! I am relatively versatile, meaning I can adapt to just about anything but I would ideally like to be with someone who wants to spend a lot of time playing with me, guiding me to be better and of course, loving on me! I am sucker for scratches and belly rubs and I like to be really close to my person! Because of that, I am pretty good off leash and listen to my commands pretty well. It doesn't hurt when I am consistently rewarded but for the most part, I am not going too far. Okay, every once in a while, I may venture a short distance to see what's going on with another canine in the area but I am just curious and want to sniff and play! Dog parks are great, yards are cool but most of all, I want to play with my peops and take lots of naps! I am not great at fetching but will chase and play with the ball, toy or stick, but most of all, I'm cool with a walk in the park on or off leash!

Don't forget, I am a dog so I have some behaviors that you should be aware of. I am very loyal to my person and I feel like it's my responsibility to protect them. Yea, I bark and make sure people know we are together. I protect my food and toys sometimes from other dogs, I just don't understand why I have to share! Like I said, I have a lot of love to give that lucky person or family that takes me in so I can get a little jealous when they pay more attention to another pup. I will share my space but want to be their number one!

Most of all, I am eager for a consistent home and person(s) to express my dogginess with! I am not perfect but there is a good chance I am perfect for you!

We ask for a $300 donation as the adoption fee, to help cover the costs of medical services and transport. We are however willing to accept a lesser amount to finalize the adoption with appropriate applicant.
