Meet Marjorie

Meet Miss Marjorie! This sweet and silly girl will put a smile on anybody's face. While she may be a bit shy when meeting new people, it won't take long for her to reveal her loving nature (yummy treats help too!). She has a well balanced energy level, so whether you're in the mood for an epic match of tug-of-war or a cozy cuddle session on the couch, Marjorie is game! Some of her favorite things include playing with her toys, exploring the backyard, and romping around with her foster brother.

Marjorie needs a home with older children (16+) but would thrive with a playful doggy sibling. She currently shares a home with her foster brother who has really helped bring her out of her shell. She shares her toys well and could spend hours chasing her foster brother around the yard. Marjorie would love to meet any potential siblings in your home.

Marjorie has really good manners and knows some basic commands. Her love of treats and eagerness to please make her easy to train. Marjorie is crate trained and house trained and doesn't chew on anything that's not hers. As long as she has plenty of bones and stuffies to nibble on, she's all set!

Marjorie is patiently awaiting her forever home, so don't miss the chance to make this goofball a part of your family!

This girl is currently living in a foster home. If you would like to learn more about her or meet her, please email foster@kcpetproject.org.

Marjorie has been at the shelter for over 30 days. We want our longer stay dogs to find a forever home quickly, so her ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED!

Did you know that black dogs are often overlooked in the shelter? They are oftentimes the dogs who stay in shelter care the longest and are chosen last due to appearance. Break the stigma and adopt a black dog today. Remember, black dogs are the best dogs. Their hair doesn't show up on black clothing and their coats don't appear as dirty as they may be. Will you be the lucky owner of a black shelter dog?
