Marci Chihuahua & Terrier Mix Phoenix, AZ

Meet Marci, our little survivor. Volunteers spotted Marci on the streets literally hobbling on two front legs, using her back legs intermittingly. Marci was with another little dog, he too had a leg that needed medical care. It took the volunteers a few attempts to realize that Marci would need to be humanely trapped. Once trapped and in our care, Marci had a slew of Xrays, which revealed her pelvis had four breaks. In order to understand what Marci's medical future entailed, her pelvis needed an opportunity to heal. Life on the streets was not the place to heal. After six weeks of kennel rest and some decompression time, Marci received a clean bill of health! Today, Marci's body is healed and she is making up for lost time! Marci is absolutely loving life in the comforts of a safe, cozy home. Her foster family insists the next chapter of her life allows her to be queen. She loves to sit on laps, and there is nothing better than the touch of human affection. Marci will continue to thrive in a household that has a consistent, quiet routine. Marci currently has a few foster cats that she loves and three other little dogs that she finally gets to romp with. AS she was once an injured stray, Marci will need a family that will continue to understand her past and show continued patience and guidance.
