We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt and must have a physical fence and in place at time of home visit for her to safely run and play in.

Maple is a 2 yr old girl, records show her as a bloodhound mix but we believe it is more likely she is a Vizsla mix. She doesn't display typical hound behavior and looks closer to the vizsla. She is spayed and current on her vet care. House and crate trained.
Maple is responsive to training, will sit nicely for treats and walks well on leash. She does better with larger breed dogs but does take a bit to adjust to new doggy friends. She is in foster home with 3 other dogs and a cat and does fine with all but was a bit much with a small breed dog she met.
We are told she isn't a fan of young children so does need to be in a home with older (12 plus) children only.
While when she first joined us she was stressed but soon learned to relax. Responsive to commands, plays well on her own with toys doing zooming in the yard but also relaxes and chills if that is what we are doing.
She will make the right home an amazing companion. Sleeps in crate all night without issue and lets herself in and out using a dog door. Sits and takes treats gently. If interested in meeting this girl to see if she might be right for your home please fill out an adoption application.

All our dogs have been treated for worms; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchip; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed.
