Meet Mandy Mae

Mandy Mae is an older girl, 17 years old. She's overweight and on a weightloss plan. She was owned by an 85 year old woman whose health is failing. Mandy Mae has some skin tumors which, due to her age, will not be attempted to be removed until she loses weight and the vet thinks it's safe to do the surgery. Mandy is looking for a very calm home she can enjoy.. If you think you could offer Mandy a warm, soft lap to enjoy for her remaining days, please write me at suzzie38@gmail.com :) ..
Sadly, almost 500 people have looked at her profile and no one is interested in this poor old girl. There is no greater gift you can give than love. The aging process spares no one and these seniors deserve to know love in their final days .. Why isn't she worthy of that? I will never understand why there is no homes for the seniors who need it most? :"(

You must be within 50 miles of 17013 as home visits are mandatory. Thank you. :)

Update: Mandy Mae has lost the required weight and is having surgery today 3/18/2019. She has went from barely being able to walk to getting spunky at times. She is walking much better now! She is a joy, very calm, dog friendly/cat friendly/kid friendly. Mandy loves to be held and snuggled. We put no children on her profile, not because she is a bite risk, but because small children could hurt her. ... Today's surgery includes having the large surface warts, which break open and bleed when they grow, removed. These surface warts are the size of a 50 cent piece and have been a potiential risk for infection. Her mammary tumor which is the size of 1 1/2 large eggs will be removed. She is also having a badly needed dental done. :) Senior animals require surgery, even in advanced age, when it is necessary. NO animal should ever live in pain. Quality of life is beyond important. Many rescue's won't do extensive vetting on the seniors due to cost. We do not mind paying these vet bills for these old seniors. They ARE worth it!~ Her adoption fee will not even come close to what we will spend to vet her but we don't care about money. We care about quality of life. Please keep this lovely old senior in your prayers. Have a wonderful week. :)

Mizz Mandy Mae's surgery went wonderful with no problems. She is eating like a shark and the incisions look great. Since some area's left large holes they were stapled shut. Her staples will be removed April 1st. I am so pleased!~ Mandy Mae's staples have been removed. Her incisions are almost fully healed. She will go in for surgery again in one month. Her next surgery will remove a very large mammary tumor. Mandy is doing wonderful .. She will be up for adoption after she fully heals from her next surgery. This old girl is loving life again!~
