Meet Mamacita
Mamacita or "Cita" as we call her, is a petite girl who has been through a lot of changes recently. We are still getting to know her, and have been giving her plenty of time to decompress. She loves a good chew, puzzles, and enrichment toys. She's a smart, food motivated girl and knows commands like "sit," "place," "down" and "no." We are working on our leash skills as she sometimes still likes to pull towards squirrels.
Cita also is crate trained and house trained- she will stand by the door and let you she needs to go out and she is not destructive when left by herself outside of her crate. Cita loves to nap in fuzzy blankets and to look out the window. Her foster mom describes her as "the nosey next-door neighbor" keeping tabs on the block. Cita is a pretty quiet girl overall and doesn't bark when people pass by while she observes from inside.
As with many dogs that have had a lot of changes in such a short period of time, slow introductions are best. Her ideal family consists of someone who is dog-savvy, patient, and willing to continue her training and who will allow Cita to go at her own pace. She does well with calm, older dogs to learn the ropes from. Cita such a good girl- she is quiet, curious but not intrusive. She loves to be loved and when she sees her people, just wants to be around them.
